Healthy Snacking During Covid-19

Here is a list of kid-friendly snacks that are delicious and healthy. Oh and easy to make. Now is the best time to teach your child healthy eating habits.


1.Popcorn -Air-popped and lightly seasoned. A whole grain, low calorie snack.


2.Yogurt -Provides protein and calcium. A delicious treat when mixed with fresh fruit and granola. This is one of my favorites especially with fruit, granola and a dab of honey. Yummy!


3.Trail Mix - Simple to make and a perfect on the go snack. Homemade trail mixes can include cereal, dry fruit, chocolate etc.


4.Cottage cheese and fruit -Well balanced snack full of vitamins and nutrients.














7.Raisins- Raisins are packed with energy and rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals. They can be served alone or in another snack like the trail mix.



8.Pickles - Pickles are cucumbers that have been fermented. Just avoid sweet pickles and monitor the salt intake.


9. Homemade Applesauce-Applesauce is a great source of fiber and vitamin c. Homemade applesauce eliminates the extra sugar. Click the link to get the recipe.

10.Fresh Fruit - Convenient and healthy snacks.


Now is the perfect time to practice healthy eating habits, spend quality family time with the little ones and teach them some basic life skills.
